Is Gold Vermeil Real Gold?
Yes. Gold vermeil is real gold over solid sterling silver. Under the Federal Trade Commission's Jewelry Guides, a piece can only be called vermeil if the gold is at least 10 karat and at least 2.5 microns thick. Each vermeil piece names its karat on its page. The metal guide compares it with plated and solid gold.
What Is the Difference Between Gold Vermeil and Gold Plated?
The difference is what is underneath and how thick the gold is. Vermeil is gold over sterling silver with a thick minimum layer. Gold plated can be gold over any metal, and the layer can be much thinner, so it wears through sooner. We name which one every piece is.
Do You Sell Solid Gold?
When a piece is solid gold all the way through, its metal is named with its karat, such as "Solid 14K Gold," and its page lists its weight in grams so you can see what you are paying for. Any gold not named solid is not solid gold.
Are Your Stones Diamonds?
Only if the page calls its stones diamonds. Every piece with stones names them on its page. Cubic Zirconia, a lab-made stone that looks bright and clear and costs a fraction of a diamond, is always called Cubic Zirconia and never called a diamond.
What Does Pre-Owned Mean?
Pre-owned means the piece had an owner before us. Each pre-owned piece says so on its page and describes its condition and any wear.
How Do I Find My Size?
Use the size guide. It covers chain lengths, ring sizes with a chart, bracelet lengths, and how to measure at home.
Do You Offer Free Shipping?
Yes, on larger orders. Standard shipping is free on orders of $100 or more, and $5.95 below that. Express shipping is $19.95. The shipping page has the details.
How Long Does Shipping Take?
Orders leave within 1 to 2 business days, and you get a tracking number by email when your order ships. Standard shipping then takes 3 to 7 business days in transit. Express shipping takes 1 to 3 business days in transit.
Do You Ship Outside the United States?
Not right now. We ship to addresses in the United States.
What Is Your Return Policy?
You can return any piece not worn since it arrived, within 30 days of delivery, for a refund to your original payment method. Earrings can come back only if they have never been worn, so pre-owned earrings cannot come back; their page says so before you buy. The returns page explains how.
Can I Wear My Jewelry in the Shower or Pool?
Take every piece off before showers, pools, and hot tubs: chlorine can damage gold alloys as well as plating, and soap and water wear plating faster. The care guide covers each metal.
Is My Payment Secure?
Yes. Checkout runs on Stripe, so your card details go to Stripe directly and never pass through or stay on this site.
Do You Run Sales?
We keep prices honest every day instead of marking them up to mark them down. If you ever see a crossed-out price, the piece really sold at that price before.
